About

Samson Medical Technologies, L.L.C. is a privately-held company, founded in 1999 by Marvin Samson, a world-renowned leader in injectable manufacturing and delivery systems, to provide hospital and alternate site pharmacists with safe, convenient sterile dosage preparation systems and products.

The Company was established in response to requests by leading health-system pharmacists to develop an alternative to cumbersome pharmacy bulk package vials. Samson Medical Technologies has worked with these leaders and a major supplier of anti-infective active ingredients to develop the SmartPak® system that enables pharmacy professionals to prepare sterile dosage forms with a great degree of safety, accuracy, and ease.

Product Overview
Available as a sealed, additive-free, latex-free, polymer bag, each SmartPak® bag contains up to 300 grams of a sterile powder, protected from light, moisture, and oxidation by a foil overwrap. SmartPak® is an easy-to-use, space-saving, patented packaging system for injectable drugs, ideal for sterile product preparation. It is a totally closed system, and its polymer construction avoids breakage and potential injury. Its design eliminates the usual time-intensive steps associated with reconstituting multiple vials of drugs, resulting in fewer manipulations, which, in turn, reduces the risk of contamination of product that is administered to a patient. SmartPak® is compatible with commercially-available pumps, tubing sets, cassettes, and syringes.
